SasuSaku: Reunion Part 16

“Cone or cup?”

“Cup please.”

“Okay.”

The teen girl began to make Sakura’s ice cream. Daisuke knew what he wanted now. The teen handed Sakura’s ice cream. She turned to Daisuke.

“Did you find what you had a taste for?” She smiled.

“Yeah…I want cookie n’ cream please in a cone.”

“Okay coming right up.” She continued to smile.

While the worker was making Daisuke’s ice cream, Sakura and Shina sat down at a four seated table not too far from the ice cream stand. Shina was happy as she ate her ice cream. Sakura smiled at her daughter.

“Mommy?”

“Yes sweetie?”

“Are you going to marry him? He is really nice. I wish he was my daddy but my daddy is bye-bye.”

“I don’t know about that…”
Shina began to eat her ice cream again. Sakura looked at her daughter then turned her attention  to her son and Sasuke. They were getting their ice cream and paying for the ice creams.

“You guys enjoy your night and ice cream.” The teen girl smiled to them.

“Thank you.” Daisuke replied.

“You’re welcome.”

Sasuke and Daisuke began to walk back to the table where Sakura and Shina were at. Daisuke sat next to Sakura, while Sasuke sat across from Sakura. The evening went by pretty good. They all enjoyed their ice cream and the time they are spending together. After a few minutes the four of them headed home. Shina passed out in Sakura’s arms as did Daisuke but in Sasuke’s arms, as the two adults walked with two passed out kids.

“Thank you for the ice cream but I thought you hated sweets?” Sakura asked.


“Hn… It is okay once in a while.”

“I see.” She smiled a little as she stared down at her daughter.

A few more minutes of walking towards Sakura’s place, they talked, laughed a little. After for so many time they both let loosed up and enjoyed this moment. They soon reached the house. Sakura fished her keys, she soon unlocked the door. They entered the house. The two ninjas headed up the stairs to place the two sleeping children to bed. Afterward when they set them in bed, Sakura closed Shina’s door and soon turned around but jumped, didn’t see Sasuke behind her. Sakura placed a hand on her chest as she closed her mint green eyes.

“Gosh don’t do that!” she whispered.

“Sorry…”

They headed downstairs towards the family room to talk. Lily ran after them since no one paid any attention to her. Once they reached the family room. Sakura giggled as she petted lily’s head. Lily licked Sakura’s hand and walked off to head to bed. Sakura turned around to find Sasuke behind her.

“Sakura…”

“Y-Yes?”

“I missed you so much…” He replied as he brushed his fingertips across her cheek softly.

“I-I…” She stopped. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She slowly opened her eyes and answered him.

“I-I missed you too Sasuke…”

Sasuke smirked as she still had his hand on her cheek. He leaned into her. Soon their lips touched. Sakura was taken back but kissed him back. Sasuke wrapped his arms around Sakura’s waist while Sakura wrapped her arms around Sasuke’s neck and pulled him closer. Sasuke deepened the kiss. All their emotions were poured into this moment. Their hatred, sorrow, pain and love for each other into this kiss that they held for so long.  Sasuke lay Sakura down on the couch. Sasuke slowly snaked his hand under her shirt, while Sakura run one of her hand through his hair but soon realized what was going on. Sakura placed her hand on his chest and pushed him away leaving the two breathless old lovers.

“Sasuke… we can’t …”

“Why not?...”

Sakura sat up on in the couch as she fixed her shirt. Sasuke sat on the other side of the couch looking at her.

“I-I don’t know… just everything we been through and you little fan girl caused trouble between us… I don’t want that around my kids.”

“Ours…” he added. “ Sakura I want to fix everything… please I will show you.” Sasuke kissed Sakura softly.

“Why? You left me all alone, scared with two twins. I needed you! I loved you! And what you do … you left me…”

“I know what I did. It was wrong but I grow up and I want to fix things please!”

Sasuke hugged Sakura tight as he buried his face into her neck. Sakura on the other hand having her eyes closed as tears rolled down her face. After a few minutes of sitting there in each other arms.

“S-Sasuke…” She paused.

“Yes Sakura?”

“…I will give you ONE more chance to make things right… I you can prove to me that what you say it true then I will tell our kids that you are their father…”

“Oh I will prove to you!” Sasuke spoke happy, he kissed Sakura. Sakura smiled a little but taken back by the kiss. Sasuke pulled away.

“Oh… sorry…”

‘Did he just say he was sorry?’ Sakura thought.

“I-It’s okay…”

‘You are making a bad mistake Sakura!’ Sakura’s inner self yelled to Sakura.

‘Shut up!’ she yelled at her inner self.

‘hmp!’

“So Sakura what you tell kids when I was gone…”

“I told them that their father died in the shinobi war…”

“Oh…”

“Yeah…” She answered.

“Thank you for treating us Sasuke.” She added.
“You’re welcome.”

Sakura kicked off her shoes off and leaned more in the couch getting cozy.

“So… what are you going to tell them?” Sasuke asked.

“I am going to tell them the truth…”

“I see… Well I should be get going… but I have something to say.”

“What is that?” Sakura asked.

“Stay away from Karin… I have a bad feeling she is up to something…”

“Hmp! If she comes near me or my kids I will kill her!”

“I know but just stay away okay?”

“Yes dad.” Sakura teased.

“Hn.” Sasuke smirked

Sakura laughed a little at his reaction. Sasuke smiled a little as he heard the melody of Sakura’s laugh that he missed for so long. They stood up from the couch and headed towards the door. Once they reached the front door Sasuke reached out to open the door but he stopped as he turned around to Sakura.
